Grilled Sweet Potato (Muntip) is a traditional Thai dessert and popular street food that can be found all over Thailand. It is often sold alongside grilled bananas and grilled sticky rice. It’s easy to find, affordable, and always satisfying.
Ingredients
Steps
-
Coooking Grilled Sweet Potato Balls (Muntip):
-
Peel the sweet potato and cut into small pieces, then steam them for 15 minutes or until fully cooked.
-
Take half of the steamed sweet potato and blend it with coconut milk until smooth and creamy.
-
Combine the blended mixture with the remaining steamed sweet potato.
-
Add sugar and glutinous rice flour, then knead until the dough is smooth and well-mixed.
-
Shape the dough into your desired form.
-
Place the shaped sweet potatoes in an air fryer at 180°C (356°F) for 10 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
-
Or you can also bake it in the oven at 180°C (356°F) for 10 minutes per side.
-
Grilling with an air fryer and an oven has slight differences. No matter which method you choose, the flavor is just as delicious!
